FOR PARENTS

What did you do to my daughterDear Parents,

In just a few short years your daughter will be making the biggest decisions of her life: which man she’ll marry, how she’ll raise her family and what her life’s work will be. With so much competing for her attention – peer culture, the internet, music, movies, advertising – you have to wonder how she’s going to sort it all out.

Enter the Jewish Un-Camp, a project of Bais Chana Women International. We’ve been running retreats for Jewish adolescent girls since 1991, welcoming thousands of girls from the most diverse backgrounds imaginable and from all over the world whose parents were looking for exactly the same thing you want for your daughter: clarity and some sound guidance.

The Jewish Un-Camp is a non-judgmental, inclusive environment where your daughter will meet mentors and big sisters, best friends, and wise, caring teachers. She’ll ask her most important questions about life and get answers she can count on, grounded in Judaism’s most profound teachings. (Watch this video to see what the girls ask.) But what’s really incredible is that she’ll refer back to what she learns with us, and to the people she learned from and with, throughout her teen years and well into her twenties and thirties.

Please feel free to call me at 718.604.0088 or email me to see if Bais Chana’s Jewish Un-Camp is a fit for your daughter. Having spent over 18 years with young women like your daughter we’ve developed an unmatched expertise in the spiritual and moral development of Jewish adolescent girls, and we’re here to share it.

Finally, take a minute to look at our photo albums and videos, and read girls’ impressions. We’re serious about our objective but give the girls a fantastic time when they’re with us!

Looking forward to meeting your daughter this year,
Hinda Leah Sharfstein

PS Has your daughter has graduated from high school? If she’s enrolled in college or university, check out Snorkel & Study, our week-long session for college women.

PPS Wish you were 16 again so you could come to the Un-Camp? You’re in good company – almost every woman I speak to tells me she wishes she had had the experience. Try any of Bais Chana’s retreats for women. Visit www.baischana.org for more info or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
