Applying for One Happy Camper

First Step: Go to www.onehappycamper.org and click on apply. You may be eligible for up to $1500.

If they're not in a city with Jewish Federation, they should email onehappycamper@jewishcamp.org and request information about the Small Communities Grant.

Small Communities Grant
This grant is to be used to provide first time camper grant as stated below:

  • $1500 grants for campers enrolled for 19+ consecutive days.
  • $1000 grants for campers enrolled for 12-18 consecutive days.
  • Campers must be entering grades 1-12 (after camp).
  • If the camper previously attended camp for less than 12 days, the camper is still eligible.
  • Camper is living in a Jewish community of fewer than 8,000 Jews.
  • Campers enrolled in Jewish Day School are not eligible.

If they're not eligible for One Happy Camper grant through these application processes, or if they applied after the deadline for this year, they should contact their local Jewish Federation about a camp scholarship.

Some deadlines are quite early this year so the sooner the better.

An additional source for families from the states below:

  • Jewish Children's Regional Service (deadline to apply is Feb 28, 2025)
    Children must reside in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee or Texas.
  • Camper should be entering third to twelfth grade as of August 31, 2024.

If you still need assistance, your daughter can apply for a scholarship by checking that off on her application. She'll receive an email with a link to the scholarship application.
